Integration Engineer, photographer, and New Yorker.
I'm Clay. Software engineer, storyteller, and someone who notices the moments most people walk past.
Photography was in me long before I owned a camera. I would catch a look of surprise on someone's face or a group of friends completely lost in a moment and think someone needs to hold onto that. Two years ago I bought my first camera and the instinct finally had a tool.
I chase shots that cannot repeat themselves. The ones that exist for half a second and disappear. Those are the ones that matter.
Engineering is structured and there is a right way to do things. Photography is different. You decide what matters in the frame and you shape the story. It is a kind of freedom code does not offer, and I love both worlds for different reasons.
When I am not shooting I am running a D&D campaign for unsuspecting friends or deep in an anime series thinking about storytelling in a completely different medium. I am drawn to good stories wherever they show up.
I have traveled across the US and made it to Paris. There is a lot more world left to hold onto. I am nowhere near done.
